Read for a Lifetime
Sponsored by the Illinois State Library
The primary goal of the "Read for a Lifetime" program is to promote the enjoyment of reading, by encouraging students to read both classic and contemporary literature. It is our hope that by participating in "Read for a Lifetime", the students will develop a love of books and reading that will last a lifetime.
Students participating in "Read for a Lifetime" must sign up by October 20, 2015 read at least four books from the designated titles list, and report titles of books read to the LCHS Librarian before March 18, 2016. After March 18, a list of all students who completed the program will be sent to the Illinois State Library.
Each student who reads at least four titles from the list during the school year receives a certificate of achievement signed by Secretary of State Jesse White.
